Two nuclear plants in Illinois are scheduled to close if the Illinois State Legislature doesn't take action.

 This would result in over 4.5 million cars worth of emissions if they're replaced by coal, or over 2 million if they're replaced with natural gas.  We can't let that happen.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is supposed to be an open, democratic institution-- but there is evidence that a secret deal was struck to close San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), and foot ratepayers with $3.3B of the decommissioning costs.  

With the decision to close California's other Nuclear Plant Diablo Canyon looming on the horizon, CPUC President Michael Picker still refuses to release the secret emails, despite being implored by Appeals Court Judge Ernest Goldsmith to do so.
